How long should a password be?+
16 characters or more with mixed character classes is a strong baseline today. Length helps more than any single symbol.

No. Generation uses your browser's secure random source and the result exists only on your screen and clipboard.
Why avoid look-alike characters?+
Characters like l, 1, O and 0 are easy to confuse when typing a password by hand. The exclude option removes them.
